2010 Health Innovation Contest at CNU today

2010大台南地區健康創意競賽

After preliminary contest, today is the finals to select the grand champion for the highest award of NT$50,000 here at Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science.

This Contest is hosted by the Innovation and Incubation Center of CNU. The theme is all about health-related products. Totally, there're 33 teams entering the finals. The 88 students are from 6 universities of the greater Tainan region, including CNU (嘉南大學), Kun-Shan University (崑山科大),

Far East University(

遠東科大), National Cheng Kung University (成功大學), Aletheia University (真理大學), and Southern Taiwan University (南台科大). Totally, there are 19 team advisors of the above universities involved in this event.

The total prize of NT$205,000 for the contest is offered by 8 small & medium enterprises, which are Affinity Food Co. (艾芬迪食品股份有限公司), Photoply (斌視企業股份有限公司)、Pao Lai Lo (寶來樂企業有限公司)、Chang Chiang Hsing Yeh (長江欣業有限公司)、Fu Pei (福培實業有限公司)、Ching Yu Biotech (青玉生物科技股份有限公司)、Bing Pao Food Co. (賓寶食品企業有限公司、Chi Cheng (琦程實業有限公司).

Some other spendings are covered from the budgets of CNU's Teaching Excellence Project (granted by Ministry of Education) and S&M Enterprises Incubated Project (granted by Ministry of Economic Affairs).

Who will be the winners selected by the 8 appointed judges? Let's wait until October 22, 2010, the date for the awarding ceremony.
